A look inside our Kolkata workshop — where every piece is cut, hand-finished and made with care.
Every piece is made to order and hand-finished by our team, so we want it to reach you exactly right.
We'd genuinely appreciate a quick unboxing video as you open it — it's the easiest way for us to see everything together and sort out anything on the spot.
Just tell us within 3–5 days of delivery with a couple of photos (and that video, if you have it). For any genuine quality issue or manufacturing defect, we'll make it right — replacement pieces or a credit note to your account, whichever suits you better.
For visible transit damage, flag it within 24–48 hours so we can raise the courier claim in time.
Because everything is made in small batches, gentle variation in shade, weave, texture and stitching is part of the handmade character, not a fault — and hemp softens beautifully with wear. Measurements can vary by about ±2 cm.
For genuine defects you won't need to ship anything back — international return freight rarely makes sense for a few pieces, so we sort it at our cost. As each order is made just for you, we can't accept change-of-mind returns — but we're always here to help you choose the right pieces before you commit.

Premium hemp & hemp-blend womenswear — anti-fit, breathable and made to last. Handcrafted in India, designed to be worn for years, not seasons.
The House of Hemp began in 2021 in Kolkata, founded by Rashmi Agarwalla Somani around a simple conviction — that one of the world’s oldest and most sustainable fibres belongs at the centre of the modern wardrobe, not at its margins. We started as a pure-hemp label, championing a fabric that is naturally strong, breathable and kind to the planet.
Pure hemp is remarkable, but on its own it can be coarse, costly and hard to scale responsibly. To make conscious clothing genuinely wearable — and genuinely accessible — we evolved into considered hemp blends, pairing hemp with Tencel and cotton. The result keeps hemp’s durability and low impact while adding softness, drape and a friendlier price, so more people can choose better. This was never a compromise on our mission; it is how we chose to widen it.
Every style is offered across three fabric tiers, so buyers can match fabric to market and price point without changing the design.
Every piece is made in India by skilled artisans, many of them in West Bengal. Hand embroidery and cutwork give each garment its character. We work in small, considered runs rather than mass production — slower, but truer to the clothes and the people who make them.
Our garments are cut anti-fit and relaxed, and offered from XXXS to 7XL — real inclusivity, not an afterthought. Comfort and movement come first, in silhouettes built to flatter a wide range of bodies.
Hemp is naturally antibacterial and odour-resistant, breathable and temperature-regulating, UV-protective, and it softens with every wash. Full fabric specifications and certification documents are available to every buyer on request.
